Shenzhen Shekou International School (Shekou International School, referred to as "SIS"). Founded in 1988, SIS is recognized by the Guangzhou US Consulate as the earliest and largest international school in the Pearl River Delta region. It is the first purely foreign international school in Shekou, Shenzhen. It is a non-profit coeducational school. The school is headquartered in the "International School Service" (ISS) in the United States. It has the Ministry of Education's Basic Education Curriculum and Textbook Development Center. Accreditation ("NCCT" for short), WASC (Western American Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditation, IBO International Baccalaureate Organization accreditation, ACAMIS China-Mongolia International Schools Association accreditation and other as many as 12 international accreditations, is a very authoritative international school.
